Dr. Jenise Bland is a dedicated education professional, currently serving as the founder and Principal Consultant at Reflection by Design. With a strong background in education and a commitment to improving learning outcomes, she has made significant contributions to the field throughout her career.
Educational Background
Dr. Bland holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics from Michigan State University, where her passion for mathematics was first ignited. She continued her educational journey at the same institution, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teaching and Curriculum, solidifying her foundation in effective pedagogical practices. Driven by her dedication to education, she pursued further studies, earning an Ed.D (Doctor of Education) in Education Administration and Policy from George Washington University. Her dissertation research focused on how school leaders facilitated success among their African American students living in impoverished communities.
Teaching Experience
Before joining Carnegie Learning, Dr. Bland served as a dedicated high school and middle school teacher for several years. Her time in the classroom allowed her to connect directly with students, gaining valuable insights into effective teaching methods and the challenges educators and students face.
